Privacy Policy
Mars Tech Global (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides Mars Billing, a staff/owner point-of-sale application used by retail shops to scan products, create bills, view recent sales, and check basic reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes.
1. Who this app is for
Mars Billing is a business staff tool, not a consumer shopping app. It is used by shop owners, managers, and cashiers who already have an account on their shop’s Mars Billing / Retail POS backend.
2. Information we process
- Shop selection: shop code/name and API endpoint chosen at login (stored on device).
- Staff account: email/username and password used to authenticate with the selected shop’s server; a session token is stored on the device while signed in.
- Business data you access: products, barcodes/SKUs, stock, customers, bills/invoices, payments, and report summaries from your shop’s server.
- Camera / barcode scan: the camera is used only to read product barcodes. Images are processed on-device for scanning and are not uploaded as photos for advertising.
- Device technical data: basic diagnostics needed to run the app securely (device/OS type, network errors, crash logs if collected by the OS/store).
3. How we use information
- Authenticate staff and keep a signed-in session on the device
- Create and manage POS bills, payments, customers, and reports for the selected shop
- Send bill share links or WhatsApp messages you choose to send
- Maintain the multi-shop client list used by the app login screen
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and provide support
4. Where data is stored
Each shop runs on its own Mars Billing server and database. Login credentials and business
records for a shop are processed by that shop’s server (for example
api.<shop>.marstechglobal.in). The Mars Billing Android app stores a session
token and the selected shop on the device so you can use the app.
A central registry hosted by Mars Tech (Shopping hub) stores the list of shops shown in the mobile login screen (shop name, code, API URL, active status). That registry does not store your staff password.
5. Sharing of information
We may share necessary data with:
- The shop operator who owns the selected shop account and business records
- IT/hosting providers that power Mars Billing infrastructure
- WhatsApp / messaging apps only when you choose to open or send a message
- Authorities when required by law
We do not sell personal information.
6. Permissions
- Internet: required to sign in and sync bills/products with your shop server.
- Camera: optional; used only when you tap scan to read product barcodes.
7. Data retention & security
Session data remains on the device while you stay signed in. Shop business records are retained on the shop’s server according to that shop’s operational, accounting, and legal needs. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your choices & rights
- Sign out from the in-app menu at any time
- Ask your shop admin to update or delete staff account data
- Contact Mars Tech for privacy questions about the Mars Billing app platform
9. Children
Mars Billing is a business tool for adult staff and shop operators. It is not directed at children under 13.
10. Third-party services
The app may open WhatsApp or other apps when you choose to share a bill or contact support. Those services have their own privacy policies.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
